have you ever done any climbs where the altitude got to you?

I've climbed Rainier and Adams, and both times I felt kind of crappy up high, but nothing too serious. I have heard some wacky stories about other peoples' experiences. I also climbed partway up Pico de Orizaba, to about 15,500 feet, and I felt just fine that time, although I had been taking diamox.
