[Day 1: Marisa and Chie are the men of the house]
Can someone just please tell me what's going on?! It's getting crazy again...oh, man...just...let me know as soon as someone figures it out. Does it have anything to do with the milk? I think I've heard a few things, but...

[That afternoon, Chie will bring the milk in and set it on the kitchen ( Read more... )

[Lyn eyes the milk on the table, then looks at Chie.] Yeah, so? What do you want me to do about it? [He folds his arms over his chest, scowling.] Don't think you can pawn this shit off on me just 'cause I'm a demon you don't give two shits about.

[Yes, Chie, he thinks you're going to try and make him drink the milk because you wouldn't care about what happens to a demon.]

Yeah, well, I'm not messing with that shit. I haven't had any of that shit since I got here - for all we know, it's worse than whatever will happen if we don't drink it. You can drink it if you want, but I'm not touching it.

[Lyn's not really asking Chie or anyone else to volunteer; he thinks they'd probably all be better off avoiding it.]

[As pissed as he might be that Chie supposedly hates him just for being a demon...the fact remains that she's basically taking one for their entire little dysfunctional family, so Lyn is grudgingly invested in her efforts and likewise reluctantly guilty for the consequences of them. So her spitting up blood in their sink is...pretty fucking disturbing on multiple levels.

The problem is, there's fuck all he can do about it - healing powers are not in the demonic repertoire, given that the racial interest runs way more toward causing damage than repairing it. (And, let's face it, he's weak enough that he'd be a crappy healer even if he possessed the capability.) And standard first aid can't do much, either, at least not to his limited knowledge of it; you can't bandage up or disinfect the inside of someone's mouth.

The only thing he can think of to do - and it's so basic and probably useless that he wonders why he bothers - is to get her a glass of water to help rinse the blood out of her mouth with.] ...here.
