the last thing i expected to hear was a marriage proposal, but i did at half past midnight last night.  the appropriate reaction would have been a sigh, batting eyelashes and a carefully orchestrated tear on my cheek...instead i guffawed, not the very least romantic.

hahahaha...i admire you, teng, for having the aplomb to laugh it all off. if it were me, i would've choked on my drink and swallowed the glass. but it's thrilling, i should like to think, being able to hear someone propose a life-long engagement to you. not everyone has the chance to simmer in that moment's glory.

...and it's romantic even if it all wears away so easily as an insignificant glimpse.

i did choke the 1st time around! i didn't handle it well & it messed up our relationship. we got over it & became close again...and now this. ambot, masochist xa! hahaha!
