May no one on my f-list have a commute like my commute last night. 7+ hours to go 12.3 miles. I thought I would never get out of my car again. I left at 5:15 and didn't get home until 12:45 ( Read more... )

Holy crap, it took you over 7 hours to get home?!! Wow. I'm really sorry!

We were without power from 8pm to 12:30 am, which was a pain but wasn't bad.

Well, so far I don't have to start teaching until 3:00 - so, yes. I'm hoping once it starts getting dark, people will decide it's too cold and icky to come out for lessons, so I'll get to go home early.

Also, your icon is completely spot-on for how I was feeling driving home!

Geez...I've heard some of the horror stories. Glad you got home safe.

I left work mega early and just stayed in. Best decision ever. Heh. Hope your commute home today isn't as drama-filled!

Thanks - I managed to get on the road just before they decided to close it - there was no getting off due to traffic, and we just sat there until they re-opened it around 11:30.

Good for you for going home - I think I'm going to have to put my foot down next time and leave.
