Don't get me wrong, since the whole almost divorce thing, he has actually been pretty good. But... I am still unemployed and bored out of my mind

I understand where you're coming with, even not having kids.
Just coming out of a relationship, where my boyfriend treated me like shit. I worked full-time to support both of us, while he stayed at home...and did basically nothing.
You do crazy shit for love. Hopefully, they'll realize that it isn't really love, and that they are simply just using them for the food, money, sex, whatever it is..
I wish you the best, and maybe you'll be able to put some sense into the heads.
You best not be letting him take your mini clarity away. She's doing so well. I can see so many good things that she's gonna do later...It would be a shame to let that guy (I'm trying to be nice) to ruin that. I refuse to be more exact.
Take care of yourself. Keep an eye for future job openings in Iowa maybe you'll find something...just keep hoping and praying, and you'll find something.
Yes, Emily is doing awesome. I'm so proud of that girl!!! She sees the bad decisions that her older sisters are making and it really affects her. She doesn't want her life to be like that

Amy, you are a wonderful person and it is not your fault you didn't have the money to fight their decision. I know you'll take care of Emily, she is your definite pride and joy. Plus how old are your two older kids? I remember what you've said about them and it is unfortunate what's happening, but you can only do so much honey. You're a good mom. Never forget that.
Kortney is 20, Jessica will be 19 next month, and Emily will be 13 in July. As I said, I blame Kortney and Jessica's dad for their life choices. Tell them that you'll disown them if they date black men and they will go find the most bad-ass gangster to rub it in your face. Emily's dad, although he is a total perverted fuck-up at least has the knowledge to know this. He is a positive force in Emily's life for the most part, and he comes from a better family than my first husband. Don't get me wrong, I still despise him with every ounce of my being, but he is a good father to Emily.
It also helps that Chris has been very good with the not drinking thing. Sure, we may have a few drinks here and there on weekends, but it's not to the extent that it used to be. When I say enough, he stops. He had to prove himself to Emily before I let him back. He did that with no reservations, and is still trying to prove himself. Not saying he's perfect, but he is a million times better. Now if I could talk him into that hair cut that he promised...
