For those who haven't heard yet:

I got laid off a few weeks ago. Still looking for a job. Not sure what I'll be doing when I do finally get one. Surveying pickins are very slim. Other options are CAD drafting, GIS technician, or other.

Be patient, and don't get discouraged, and you'll find something. Maybe even something better than what you had before. I'm going to a job fair myself in a month.
