In Left 4 Dead, there are 5 special infected types: Smoker, Hunter, Boomer, Witch, and Tank. They each have their own distinctive musical cues and noises. Smokers attack from long-range and pull a survivor away from the group. Hunters pounce on survivors. Boomers vomit on survivors which attracts The Horde. Witches are normally left alone as they're very dangerous, startling one is a very bad idea. Tanks are the worst of all. Very strong, very fast, and very hard to kill.
