Summary: The world he's born into is a world that was left devastated long ago.
Notes: This was written for seoulfully in April 2010, so it's pretty old. Was written to a prompt, and had a word count limit, hence the shortness of it. Also, AU.

( The excitement fades like a memory into the background; the world has adjusted to this change, they don't really want to have to adjust to another. )

But I can understand how limited you must feel with writing until there. XD

Thanks a lot for reading! I'm really glad you found it interesting, as I was trying to create a world that hadn't really been seen before. It would have been nice to have explored it more in depth, but half the challenge is to write something within the word limit :(
To be honest though I don't think even had I had more room to write there would have ever been a cure found, call me cruel but I like the sadness of just having to accept what's given you sometimes ;~;

It's nice as it is. Really a good story. :)
One of the things that I'm finding difficulty in is creating a world apart from our own.
I'm more of a reality-based writer, so I admire you for this cool world you have here.
And I agree.... the sadness just makes the story more interesting. The anticipation. :)
And in the end... the acceptance that it is what it is. HyunJoong's right too. XD

This was brilliant, love how the world's just kinda moved on. Yeah the idea of being sightless seems horrid to us, but then again, we live with sight in a society that requires sight. This society doesn't, and in Kyu's case, it leaves him an outcast.

Very well done, it takes courage and insight to explore the issue in this way <333 And it totally paid off.
