I think the cartoonist is right.

There was a discussion on this at Fourth Street Fantasy Con this past year. One of the panelists (sorry, I've forgotten her name) claimed that all Arthurian fiction was fanfic inspired by the poems of a 12th(?) century French guy.

heh. Well, I can understand a live author or responsible guardians of a recently deceased author's work wanting to limit commercial and/or inferior poaching, but, yes, I expect I don't need the rant. ;-)

Yes. My quibble's are over the length of "recently".

"Recently" means "anything created since the 1920's". And it always will. Courtesy of, among others, Disney. Which I guess brings us full circle.
