IRIS! IRIS! IRIS! IRIS! IRIS! IRIS! IRIS! IRIS! IRIS!

I met someone new and it was awesome, but I think he might be the kind of person who can pact with shades. He said something about bad things happening to people he knew, but that doesn't really mean he's one of those people, right?

No, it doesn't have to mean he's an immune. He could just be very unfortunate.

Did he mention how often those bad things happened or how bad those bad things were?

No. He didn't bring it up and I didn't think I should ask. He seemed kind of sad, though.

What if he thinks it's his fault?

It is very hard to talk about those sorts of things, especially if he doesn't know the circumstances behind them.

It wouldn't be uncommon if he thinks it's his fault. If you don't know about shades, then it's a conclusion that comes when everyone around you gets hurt, but you don't - at least not like the people around you do.

If he really is an immune, though, and doesn't know it, you shouldn't stay in his company for long periods of time.

But if he is an immune, then wouldn't it be worse for someone who wants to be his friend to suddenly disappear? And, if he is, we can help him, can't we? There have to be some nice shades like Nerissa that we could send his way if it turns out he is, right?
