I think I have seen every sneak peak/spoiler out there except for the next episode. Though I wish I had stuck to my guns and stayed away from the spoilers . . .
I find it interesting that once I've seen the episode I make a harsh judgment on it and then after reading your reviews I feel more open to them. *shrugs* LMAO! I love it. I am so glad.
Adam Worth . . . well he is a real pain in the ass. I know he didn't ask Helen to follow him into the rift, but she had no choice but to try and stop him. Despite the fact that he is a mourning father, he basically flattened Praxis with his little experiment. I get that he is upset - his daughter died. But so did Helen's and you don't see her going through time to change things. And I guess we can't forget that he is Jekyll and Hyde, so he is not thinking entirely with his right mind. We don't know how much just him saving his daughter could have altered the timeline.
I'm so confused on the cannon timeline on when The Five got together, injected the blood, transformed and when John went crazy. It seems unclear and jumbled to me.I think the problem is that it all happened in such a short amount of time (1886-1888) and since we don't have any months to

You didn't mention this in your post but what were your thoughts when Magnus told Watson she should commit suicide!?
At first I was like, yeah - that makes sense. Because there was no way she was going to get back. But then I was thinking about it and the only way for the timeline to work correctly was for her to hang around and then jump back in. When past!Helen becomes future!Helen, she is going to repeat history by jumping into the rift with Adam. So if our Helen kills herself, then there will be no one to jump back in, because the past!Helen who became the future!Helen will also be stuck back in time. It is this continual loop. Gotta love time-travel!
Also keep in mind that Montague John Druitt was discovered drowned in the Thames River on December 31, 1888; so I would bet Damian kept this in mind when he wrote the pilot. I did not know that! How did I not know that? So, what do you mean you bet Damien kept this in mind when he wrote the pilot?
I wondered over that action too, but thought she might have some indigestion from the stress she was under. Yes...I had that thought as well, but I was so excited about the possibility that we were wrong about the pregnancy year. She could have just had nerves about the new murders.
But Adam did have more intention of seriously altering the timeline. He made it clear to Helen in the Gentlemen’s club scene that he didn’t care of about the present. And when he was talking with Imogene he told her they could do anything and control the world. Sounds to me like he had more planned than what we learned about. That is right! I forgot about that. Yeah, he wanted to change everything. He had no intention of going back the the present.
CC-"So, what do you mean you bet Damien kept this in mind when he wrote the pilot?" Only that Damian did his research and would use that to mess with our minds :P. I wouldn't put it past him to use the time of the drowning for the time that Druit disappears from London.
It's Caitlin! Don't have an LJ...

First off, because it's at the bottom of the review - I LOVE 'The Yellow Wallpaper.' It creeps the crap out of me, but still.
Anyways. I love reading other people's reviews and I'm supposed to be heading off to bed...but it's you, so I simply must read it :D
Am I the one who explained the timeline? Or was that someone else? I can't remember who I explained that to, oops.
Magnett...I get it in phases. He's such a creepster sometimes, it so angers me. Especially in an episode like this one - I just don't ever understand a woman who lets herself be so played with by a guy like Druitt. But Helen really did love him...I don't know.
But Helen/James?! There's no Will, so I can say it wholeheartedly :D And James/iPhone, and James/drivers' license...lol.
I just really did love this episode because it was so angry, I think that's why - because she can't let anything happen, or her whole future, everything she worked so hard for - will disappear. I'm so glad you did this review, thank you!

Caitlin! I am so glad you came over.
I had to write a paper on "The Yellow Wallpaper" for some class and though I am not really into feminism stuff, I found it very fascinating.
Am I the one who explained the timeline? Or was that someone else? I can't remember who I explained that to, oops. I think it was LadyG that explained it to me - don't know if you know her - it seems that this is a small world though, so who knows.
I had to rethink a few of my ideas, and ended up rewatching Sanctuary For All - I really love those episodes and I think it is because he is so much more evil! So, I agree with you that "Tempus" was great because we see him like that again.
I just don't ever understand a woman who lets herself be so played with by a guy like Druitt. But Helen really did love him...I don't know.I know, you would think that a woman as strong as Helen wouldn't "take him back". But she does love him, and I guess love is blind, even for Helen Magnus
