[I-is that a talking mouse? Well, um. Surprise side, there's a question to be answered. Even so, her words are a little slow as she considers the fact that she's apparently addressing a tiny mouse lady.]

Um, a pet store is where you buy pets. They're domesticated animals you take care of and befriend.

And keep in a cage?

[She's not mad or upset if her tone is any indication but she is very shaken and uncomfortable.]

Well, not usually. Depending on the animal, they're usually left out to roam once someone takes them in. Keeping them in cages is to make sure they don't run off.

[Though, from an animal's point of view . . . ]

That just seems... strange to me.

[Would ya look at that! It's a talking mouse...Rhode wants a talking animals as a pet]

A pet store is a place where animals are sold. Most of these animals are kept as pets. Many people buy them to stop loneliness or make a friend.

[Mrs. Brisby will have none of that ):]

There's not an awful lot of choice on the animal's behalf, I suppose?

{Awww! No fair! She wants a pet who can talk. >:c]

No, they don't really have a choice. Though, most pets are well-taken care of and loved.

The animals in there... they're different.

[More than anything, that's completely shaken Mrs. Brisby to her core.]

For you? I haven't been in the pet store myself, but you seem to be a very special animal.

But that's... I really am not. Not at home, at least. The only thing special about me was my husband and my whole situation.

Oh, you're that young man from a while ago.

[Subject change, if temporary, is welcome for Mrs. Brisby.]

I'm sorry, did I never introduce myself? My name is Mrs. Brisby.

It... seems like a place where you purchase pets? It's much different, compared to back home.

So it's not something that exists in your world?

Not at all. We don't purchase pets, but we catch Pokemon, which are kind of like pets, but they're also our friends.
