I really hate when people are mean for no reason. It seems as though some people are rude and hurtful on purpose, and it just really upsets me. I don't like to be treated like a 3rd class citizen by some jerk

Go for it Leanne. If you want to change your major, change it. You only regret the things you don't do. If it doesnt work out, just go back and do the thing you were doing before.
No harm in trying something new.
And I don't like mean people either.
