The grit of the cold desert night blew on Ace's face, covering her with sand. Ace squinted and kept walking even though she was confused as to why they were looking here for some legendary reflection of a moon in water.
In time they came to a pool with a translucent cover - a reservoir in the sand. They walked out on the cover and stood. The moon was large above them, but with a trick of reflections, it was huge beneath, and its dancing light twinkled, reflecting on the two people standing between moon and water.
"Wow," said Ace.
