Unfortunately what they are SAVING is the cost of employees. Only IMO. The internet is seen as a better alternative for an increase in the bottom line than outsourcing to third world companies.

I HATES the big four, I really do. The last full time job I had was mortgage loan modifications, and I had to work with all of them. IMO any bank that spends on advertising sucks at customer service.

The human touch. I agree with your rant, there needs to be a singular way to get to an actual person without the phone tree and waiting on hold. The longer I have to listen to the company's self promotion of goods or services the more I am ready to dump the idea of the phone call. It'd serve them right if your card[s] were in fact fraudulently used during the wait time on the phone.
