This is mostly just to say that I'm alive, reasonably well, and even had my 2nd Covid vaccine shot this week.

I may be the only person in the world that doesn't have a Facebook account.

[Does that make me a cyber society hermit?]

I do have a Twitter account, but even that's very recent.

Will I come  back here?

Well hello again long time friend.
It is good to see you post again.
I can't say you are missing much on Face Book.
I too have had my JnJ shot.
Just remember hermits still come out now and again, just to prove that going back in the cave is the smartest thing sometimes.

Good to read you again, Dave! For what it's worth, I still feel more comfortable posting somewhat private thoughts here than on other social media. I was trying to do at least monthly posts, but teaching is much busier than I expected. Free time is at a ridiculous premium! Glad you're doing well. We're doing alright, and I'm looking forward to retirement. My beauteous and oft-praised jungle_goddess is already living at our home outside Atlanta, and has been there since the pandemic restrictions began. We sold the house in West Orange and got an apartment in Bloomfield, which is quite nice and great for commuting. But I was laid off in June of 2019, which is why I switched to teaching (mathematics, unsurprisingly). I'm working hard for the first time in my life, and I don't like it.
