The cherry blossoms bloomed early in Japan this year. I wonder if they’ll be early in Australia, too.

Branch brook Park straddles the border of both and has a very large collection of cherry blossom trees.
More in fact than in Washington, DC.

We get them blooming in August, usually. It’s interesting how the seasons aren’t exactly 6 months apart (even for, as you mentioned, places on similar-but-opposite latitude).
