#7- 15 of 52in2008 | cross stitch; light sewing; crochet hats, scarves, and cozies

This is going to picture heavy, so there's lots under the cut.

#7 -- Keith Haring inspired cross stitch of See no Evil. I started this piece years ago, copying a postcard. I drew on the fabric, so after stitched the outlines, I realized that I'd have to fill in the entire background if I wanted it to look line anything decent. It's an awkward ( Read more... )

The funny part is that he didn't even realize what it was! I'd alluded to making him a funny hat that I didn't think he'd sear, so he just thought it was silly. I haven't seen the series, so I suppose it makes sense that it wouldn't have crossed his mind.

OOh, you are talented aren't you ? I am currently crocheting a pretty baby blanket in white for Project Linus. Check it out, it is for babies, children, and young adults in hospitals. They need a version of this for the elderly too. Maybe they have it?

A lot of people in the crochet and craft communities I'm in have been posting pics of Project Linus stuff. I'm not much of a blanket girl. As you can see, I'm a fan of small objects that are quick to work up. Then again, I have 2 shawls in progress from patterns also in this month's Interweave Crochet...

You can make small ones for NICU babies. I think they only need to be like 12 x 14 or something. But no pressure. I really like that first beret. If I thought I could pull it off, I would pay you for it.

Your Nintendo DS cosy! I love it! Cosies are the best to make because they don't take too much time. I made one for my iPod in one night. :)
