Summary: It was always difficult for Yuichi to relax.
It was always difficult for Yuichi to relax.
There were a lot of factors that came into this, but the biggest one was that being around people drained him. Sure, being an MC and talking a lot - he really did thrive when he was around others. But sometimes, he needed to get away from all of it. He did his best recharging when he was alone, so he knew that it was always necessary to leave some time for himself in order to wind down at the end of a long day.
So that's what he was doing; curled up by the kotatsu in his apartment with a book and a cup of tea in front of him. The sound of the rain came from outside, and the pattering against the windows and the roof was soothing to him.
But the peace of the moment was interrupted by the clopping of big feet into the room.
“There's nothing to do when it's raining. I can't go running, or go out...” A voice whined, causing Yuichi to nearly drop his book in surprise. Of course, he had nearly forgot that he allowed Junno to stay at his place while some renovations happened to his house.
How he could forget about the presence of Junno, Yuichi had no idea.
“I don't know what you want me to do about it.” Yuichi murmured as he picked his book back up, flipping to the page that he had left off on and continued to read. Junno went silent again, but Yuichi could still feel the other's presence behind him. He tried to ignore it. Maybe Junno would be able to find something to keep him occupied, and leave him in his peace for a little while longer.
However, ignoring Junno was an impossible feat.
It felt sudden, but maybe because Yuichi wasn't really paying attention; Junno was kneeling behind him, his arms now encircling Yuichi's slim frame, causing a squeak of surprise from the older as he dropped his book again. Yuichi closed his eyes with a sigh, eventually leaning back into the embrace.
They stayed like that for a while; silent, comfortable. It was moments like this with Junno that he could easily say that he treasured. The silence, and doing nothing but enjoying each others company.
“Play games with me,” Junno murmured after a few more moments of silence, causing Yuichi to chuckle.
“Ah sure, why not?”
“Yay! I'll let you be player one this time.” Junno grinned and stood up again, going to set up the systems.
Being around people could be draining;
Junno was different. Junno gave him energy; he was refreshing. And Yuichi couldn't be more grateful for that.

Summary: Yuichi should have known that it was pointless to try to recommend Junno a book to read.
Yuichi should have known that it was pointless to try to recommend Junno a book to read.
“I heard this book was good, but also that the main character dies. I wonder if that's true,” he spoke as he scanned the page; Yuichi couldn't focus on his own book with him talking.
“Why don't you just read it and find out?” He asked with a stifled sigh, flipping the page of his own book. He could see Junno adjust his glasses out of the corner of his eyes, eyebrows furrowed in a look of concentration. Yuichi couldn't help but smile at that. At least he was trying.
“But what about the plot? I'm not getting it.”
“Pay attention to the book and I think you would get it.” Junno's lips pursed as he stared at the pages of the book. Yuichi could easily tell that he wasn't really reading it, though. He wasn't focused, and Yuichi knew that it would only be a matter of time until Junno started talking again.
“When is this plot set anyway? It seems like it would be in a different period but I can't really tell which one, it really isn't very clear is it?” Yuichi couldn't help but chuckle to himself as Junno spoke, face lighting up when an idea came to him.
Something that would surely shut Junno up for a while.
Yuichi put his book down slowly and turned to face the other; the glasses sitting crookedly on his nose making him look quite endearing. His eyebrows were knit together in a look of semi-concentration as he flipped another page.
“Ah! This character - he just showed up, there was no introduction to him before. This is kind of confusing,” he continued speaking; as he did, Yuichi started leaning closer to him. When Junno was talking, he was pretty wrapped up in his own thoughts, Yuichi noticed. So it was not really surprising to him when the other didn't seem to notice him getting closer.
Not until Yuichi actually reached forward enough to slip the glasses off of his nose.
Junno immediately went silent and glanced up from the book, looking at Yuichi with a gaze that he couldn't really read. But either way, he continued leaning closer until his lips were pressing against Junno's softly. Junno was the one who turned it into a more proper kiss, tugging Yuichi a bit closer by the collar of his shirt. His vision must have been fuzzy, but it didn't show at all with the way Junno's fingertips rested on his cheeks.
It was almost as though he had Yuichi completely memorized; every curve, every dimple, the bump of his nose and the ways they connected while they kissed.
It took a while for Yuichi to pull back, a bit flush and out of breath. Junno's grin was so wide that Yuichi couldn't even see his eyes anymore.
“Now can you be quiet and read your book?” He asked, voice barely above a mumble.
“Only if I can get more of those later~!” Junno replied in a sing-song voice, going back to the book with the grin still on his face.
“Yeah sure, of course.”
Title: A Proposal
Pairing: Taguchi/Nakamaru
Genre: Fluff, romance, humor.
Rating: PG-13
Summary: Junno has a proposal for Yuichi.
Being backstage could really be boring sometimes - especially when it was five or so hours before a concert began and everything was already set.
That was usually the time when both Yuichi and Junno were lounging around in the sitting room, watching the monitor while the other two were nowhere to be seen. He didn't mind it, though. The semi-silence was nice; it was always a good idea to relax a bit before a show.
Yuichi was listlessly flipping through a magazine, while Junno was fiddling around with some of the concert goods - Yuichi had to admit, he looked pretty cute with the towel just laying over his head.
“We did really well this time,” he commented, breaking the comfortable silence that had fallen upon them. Yuichi nodded in agreement as he set the magazine down in his lap.
“We did, the goods are already a hit with the fans, huh?”
“I think so,” Junno fiddled a little with the ring light before waving his own uchiwa. Yuichi couldn't help but chuckle, shaking his head.
Junno was usually his own biggest fan.
“Ne Yucchi,” he looked up, a bit startled to see Junno suddenly kneeling in front of him at a closer distance.
“Jeez, you surprised me,” Yuichi muttered, voice barely more than a squeak as he let the magazine drop beside him. “What?”
The grin on Junno's face didn't cease as he held something behind his back, causing Yuichi to get more curious.
“What are you doing?”
“I was just wondering if...” Junno paused, taking out the ring light from behind his back, holding it out to Yuichi, who's jaw almost dropped. “Nakamaru Yuichi, would you like to go out to eat with me after the concert today?”
“Idiot,” Yuichi laughed, reaching out to flick Junno's forehead gently. “Such a dramatic proposal.”
“Only the best for the best~!” The wink Junno sent him was enough to make him blush - even though he hated admitting it.
“Yeah, sure. Let's go out to eat.” Yuichi smiled as he leaned forward, giving Junno's lips a soft peck before taking the ring light. “Go get ready, though. We're going to be on before you know it.” The grin Junno gave him was enough to make Yuichi's heart skip a beat.
“Okay! I'll see you soon.” Junno saluted with a wink before leaving the room, probably to get dressed. Yuichi stared at the ring light, unable to keep from smiling.
He quite enjoyed Junno's random proposals.
