*fast forward three, four weeks later, and Lana is walking through Criminal Affairs, a large stack of documents in her arms. She's about to enter the breakroom when a brilliantly eye-searing teal at her destination enters her vision and causes her to stop midstep.

... then she continues on in anyway, consequences be damned*

I'm handling a case I'd like you to help me resolve.

*considers a moment*

The victim is a woman who's been subject to harassment recently. It's nothing serious, apparently; I'm not sure whether we have enough to lay a charge at present point, but the circumstances are peculiar enough for discussion.

The instigator of the harassment is another woman. Well, we suspect her as being the culprit, but there aren't sufficient grounds to charge her with the offence.

The reason for that is because the suspect is, I believe, using a third party to get to the victim. Do you understand what I mean?

I get you, but you'll have to provide some examples.

The third party is unaware of his role in the situation because his actions are not problematic at first face. But the suspect seems to be utilizing the effect the third party has on the victim as leverage. Emotional harassment, and the like.

*is carefully taking this in*

You've gotta be more specific, detective. You can't blindfold a man and ask him which mountain is taller. What exactly is this woman doin' to the victim?

I would give you the specifics, but I don't have all the facts to the case yet.

The main example I can give you--

--is some petty thing seemingly significant to the suspect and apparently to the victim as well. The third party is apparently someone the victim is attracted to, and so--
