My mood icon has defaulted to a long-ago post. I am NOT grudgingly philosophical today. I am nostalgic. LJ is giving me a hard time because it doesn't like my browser. :P
You are the only other person I've ever "met" who has referred to the fact Bret Maverick had a brother, and that you liked the banter between them. Because that was why I watched the show (in reruns in the 60s) and those were the episodes I liked the best.
It was never quite the same once Garner left. I liked blond and British Roger Moore, but he wasn't Bret. As for Robert Colbert, ick.
All those Warner Bros. westerns were staples at our house -- Bronco Lane, Sugarfoot, Cheyenne. Watching Gunsmoke on Saturday night was as obligatory as church on Sunday morning. Today when I watch Gunsmoke, I realize it had the best writers. Every episode is a little classic. And I'm convinced Matt and Kitty were gettin' it on every other night.

Big yes.
And, I, too, loved Jack Kelly as brother Bart.
And don't forget cousin Beau played by Roger Moore.
And someone named Brent ---Robert Colbert?
