Ugh, that's annoying!
I know when you sew buttonholes, you can do it that way, where you sew the binding part first and then cut the middle. (much easier than sewing around a cut edge)
Maybe they had a lazy seamstress...but yay for deep discounts!

It does make more sense that they'd sew the outside first, I wonder how they forgot to cut out the middle though! lol Maybe it was near lunchtime and they were hungry or something. =p
