Renamed!

My preferred username finally freed up so I renamed from covvie to covenant. Supposedly the original one will redirect to the new one although I'm not seeing it at the moment. Maybe it will pick up in a day.

March 8, 2012: The redirect has now been fixed. Yay!

Huh, weird. I still don't get redirected when I go to http://covvie.livejournal.com. Instead, I just a page that says there was a account rename but it doesn't say to what or provide any link out to the new name.

*shrug* Maybe it's still processing. Looking at my account it still says I have 1500 tokens. Those were supposed to be used for the rename.

http://covvie.livejournal.com/ doesn't redirect for me either, but your account shows up as covenant on my friends page.

It would help if I would actually check and read my email that is getting filed away.

Just found that I got the email confirming the rename completed. 1 minute later, another email came in saying that it couldn't be completed because it was already in use. Instead, I was given a 1500 token credit.

Obviously the rename worked, at least partly. Now to see how LJ's support is.
