Thanks, that is interesting to see. I wonder if the rule of "WA lags the rest of the country by 6-12 months" holds true for jobs as well as real estate.

Although I just have to *snerk* about the writing:
"The folks working at Jamestown Industries' Moraine Plant 2 near Dayton, Ohio had the weary, haunted look of terminally ill patients -- only it was their livelihoods that were about to die."

Doom, doom, doom - sells the papers, gets the page views.

The irony is that it's not the thing you're expecting that will frak things up - the Depression was bad, but it was the little guy with the funny mustache over in beer country that was the problem.

If you figure we are on a good 10 years of craziness cycle... we are (maybe) two years in...

If we are lucky it's a few major reforms (e.g. health care, financial systems, etc - we wind up looking a lot more like Norway/France after several years of 10%+ unemployment) and a bunch of overwrought writing.

Hmm. Strike lucky. That's my plan, and there you go... the rest of it is building bomb shelters in your basement.
