I was very close to losing my dear grandmother this last Friday... She'll now have to undergo a delicate surgery and I am really worried. So that's part of the reason why this touched me so much, but this post is incredibly beautiful.

she wasn't an 'official' grandma. she was a friend of one of my grandmothers and she was my first 'real' friend. i was more family to her than her real family. so yeah, she was quite the special lady.
