I look through them all the time. The most disturbing part.. is look at how we swore after those 5 days that we were going to hang out so much, like the next breakfast club or something. It makes me sad how that lasted a month....

You often hear of people going their separate ways and you swear that you won't let it happen to you, that the friendships are too strong, too important, too valuable to loose. Then those connections wear thin and fade away into obscurity, and we're left wondering, "What happened? How did it come to this?" We often (wrongly) think that when it reaches this point, it's too late to reconnect. We feel awkward calling or IMing the others, wondering if maybe the reason they didn't get in touch with us was because they had "moved on" or weren't interested in being friends anymore. Well, maybe, just maybe, they might have gotten just as wrapped up in their lives as we ourselves did in our own lives. Can we fault them any more than we should fault ourselves? What would it take to re-establish those strands connecting? Could it be as simple as...
