ugh. ibooks == rubbish.

My little brother's 14ish month old ibook died just before christmas. Logic board failure. So he tries to get apple to send it back, but he'd forgotten to register his extended warranty. So I was just in the process of faxing the relevant documents to Apple, when the logic board on my ibook fails. That's the second time for my ibook. Come to think ( Read more... )

But yes, for reliability, Microsoft hardware, Apple software, all the way.

I dunno, those Xbox 360's are going up like Pintos. And OS X feels like Little Tykes OS. It might all be suck-suck these days.

Been happily using and developing for OSX for a while. It's very nice. Getting to that stage where I'm too busy to fiddle with 'dows or linux. OSX doesn't need fiddling with. It just does what I want. Except when the hardware just up and dies of course.
Coping ok with ubuntu and a wealth of linux knowledge though.
