Went to the Sharks season opener a few days ago (vs. St. Louis). It was cool, but definitely not the buzz that surrounded last year's opener (I guess not having a lockout tends to reduce the electricity surrounding a new season). I'm glad you like the writeups! It could seem less biased because you know who I cheer for, and mentally expect some homerism =). Or I come off as being neutral =P. Honestly, if I didn't want to be a professor, I'd love to be a sportswriter or photographer (I take a lot of pics @ games as is, would be cool to be paid for it, and be closer to the action). Sharks won @ Calgary 4-1 tonight - Vesa had a strong game, and Sharks killed off 10 of 11 penalties, and had 2 power play goals themselves. Not happy they were shorthanded 11 times, but special teams played pretty well =).
