Sharks-Detroit, Cal-Stanfurd hoops

Thursday I went to the Sharks' 41st game of the season, marking the halway point for them as far as games played. The opponent: the dreaded Detroit Red Wings. Yep I'm an Avs Fan and my sister and I were going to go to the avs/sharks game but things got in the way last minute.

We're both Avs fans but like the sharks as well as they are local. Except in the playoffs....then were screaming for thorntons blood.

Peter Budaj looked like he was the only Av to show up on Monday. Sharks had 20 shots on goal, and the only reason it wasn't 4-0 or 5-0 after 1 period was Budaj. All 4 goals (3 for Sharks, 1 for Avs) were scored on the power play...not a great day for the penalty killers.
