Here's the deal, I have an extra ticket for the April 9th Keith Urban concert in beautiful downtown Ottawa. Rather than just choose to give the ticket to somebody, I figured it would be better to offer everyone a chance by holding a contest to win the remaining ticket. this ticket must belong to me ... i will submit my creative writing after my midterms and assignments are finished. (yes, i have midterms and assignments during reading week - it's because they spoil the math students at uw by only giving us 2 days off as opposed to a full week. LAME.)

As much as I do love the scrolling marquee, and you may use it as your submission, I don't suggest that you do. Given the magnitude of this contest, I figure the competition will be quite tough. The only advice I can give you is to bring it. That's all I can offer without setting my unbiasness aside. As for the reading week thing... that is mad balls! UW sucks! ok.
so i am already going to this wonderful concert experience in ottawa, because I live here, and if the ticket was not given to me... well you'd have some explaining to do.
am I allowed to voice my opinion on who should get that ticket?
maybe you and I can converse in private to discuss my vote.
you, sarah and I should be the judges.
oh and the concert is a 5 minute walk from my place!!
i'm excited.

As a member of the KU trip, you do get the opportunity to give input to the winning contestant. But ultimately, it will be my decision, simply because I like the power trip. Also, I love that we can walk to the venue, but maybe we should think about renting a limo anyways.

if i am a deciding factor in this decision making process, I do have to know who all the contestants are.
so, kourt? i would like a bio please. a page to two pages. nothing major.
OH and anyone that tries to win has to have been to nashville.

Well you will be happy to know that i have been to Nashville lots!! Actually I used to work with Michael and I would like to beleive that I had some influence in Michael and his Nashville/country music interest! LOL...! I am at York University taking kinesiology and a true country girl at heart, afterall I do live on a farm in Caledon and ride horses. Doesn't get much truer then that!!

Well that is all I can really say, hope this fills in the gaps a little!

I am really excited and i hope that I win this competition. I hope that I will be able to go to the concert as it was you and magoo that fist introduced me to the wonders of country and the dancing that goes with it. Get ready for my submission... and remember that Keith Urban is NO burden to me!!!

ruth, you were unleashed and its one of the greatest thing to happen to country music.
to have both mcarthur sisters invade ottawa for keith urban would be awesome...
but we'll just have to see.
michael does have the ultimate decision....

I have to say that I am not a KU fan but I can appreciate all of your excitment for the concert it is probably somewhere close to my excitment for the Kelly Clarkson concert! And I also think this contest thing is soooo fun! What a great idea!!!
I am writing this comment after seeing you in St.Kitts last night and have to say that you are looking SO GOOD! I love the scruff!! It was a great move for you!!!!! Last night was SO fun too!!!!!!! And who knew that you DANCED!!!!!!!! HA ha ha ha!!!! I can't wait for you to post your pictures and to get Lydia's, I was looking at them after and each picture is great! I will at this point in time say that I really, really missed Katie last night. It was like she was missing from the group.
