So I submitted my tentative program for a senior recital last week. Here's what it looks like.

Schumann - Fantasy Pieces (around 10 minutes)
Bach - Suite No. 2 for unaccompanied cello (probably 20-25 minutes)
Brahms - Sonata no. 1 for cello and piano, mvt. I (around15 minutes)
Chopin - Polonaise Brilliante (around 10 minutes)

or you could find someone else to accompany you for the Chopin, someone who doesn't mind practicing...

If you really want to do the Chopin, maybe you can get a professor to play with you on that. I think you should decide based on what you want to do, and not on him. Just my opinion...

I do really like the Rachmaninoff, though. But it's not my recital. :-)
