Vent

Feb 24, 2010 23:15

I hate to vent here, since I have been so lax at really doing much of being here for my friends. There are so many of my LJ friends who have shared and we have shared together. Over the past many months, I feel like my tongue is tied, and tonight I am near a breaking point ( Read more... )

Platelets are what makes your blood clot for things like scabs. So, no aspirin for you.

::hugs:: kiddo. I've been being a slug too. It's beginning to wear on me, feeling useless.

Breathe, bodies fluctuate. Things shift and shift back, or have to be shifted back. Even "normal" (ha, what a ridiciulous word) people have their bodies go out of whack sometimes.

::hugs:: And hang in there, kiddo. It's rough, not going to tell you otherwise, but we're glad you hung around.

Thanks, they stopped a few meds right away. Now more poking and prodding and new tests to check for this and that. I guess I should feel grateful, and yeah, I do, but I probably would feel better not knowing sometimes. Just give me the pills, tell me when to take them and then it is just another thing to do. But of course, ignorance is not bliss.

I hope whatever slug stuff is hanging over you will go away, you are a real good man, and friend.

peace

I think the important thing to focus on is that you DO feel decent. I don't know what your specific condition is, but I know from my own experience with HIV that sometimes, for reasons unknown, my numbers spike out of nowhere. My T-Cell count goes drastically down, my viral load becomes detectable again, and then I get tested again a couple of months later and things are back where they should be. It's really frightening and scary when it happens, but what my GP tells me is that what matters is, I FEEL good. I don't feel weak, I feel normal, energized etc. Sometimes our bodies play crazy tricks on us, you know?

Anyways, you will STILL make it through, just hang in there. I know it's hard not to panic, but don't let this get to you. Your platelet levels could go back up.

*HUG*

Yeah, true. I do feel decent, a slug, but decent. Just hate the feeling something is just so out of my control to do something. So it goes.

I understand. When I begin to panic or get angry because things are out of my control, I try to find something, anything - no matter how seemingly insignificant - that I CAN control, and act on it. Sometimes it's just going to get a haircut, or doing laundry, or cleaning my room. It might sound silly but it makes me feel better.
