The past few days has been a big improvement over the past while.  Nothing magical, just doing one more thing a day.  I need to pace myself and not get fried.  I decided to skip going to church with my Uncle and mom, and then later when they were gone MJ and I decided to go anyway.  So we ended up at a different church and mass, and missed the fine ( Read more... )

I went to a Spanish Mass at "Saint Mary Maytag" in SF a few years ago.
Now, Unitarians don't do anything like the mass... but I'd been to a few over the years...and so I had some idea what the order was.

I found it very sweet to watch how everyone participated. It was a very large ritual (in a HUGE space)

Nice music too.

Yeah... I would prefer loin cloths and a nice fire dance, but at least one guy dressed up in "drag" lol

Actually, I've been working with Day Laborers in town, and the organizer tells them I'm in the "Pagan Church... but it's really nice" LOL

lol. Honestly, I think services, no matter the stripe, if they center someone... all the better. I am sure on a hot day, a loin cloth might have my boys feeling better anyway. (just makes sure people wash down the pews!)
