So MJ found a place and now is waiting on the deal to close.  So in the mean time he is preparing to move.  I really don't want to be around during this phase.  From the time line that is being bounced about, it could be in a couple of weeks that he is out of here.  We talk some, but he has been away often with his mom getting some things for his ( Read more... )

It's hard. And I can certainly relate to your situation. I broke up with my ex in 2009. We lived together for months after that, which was really hard. Moving was also painful, and it was only 4 months ago that we ceased all communication. Make a clean break as soon as you can.

Thanks. This sucks because he was part of the family, so it is really hard.

I know it's difficult. When in doubt, take the high road. Keep it civil, but don't give him any room to hope that you're part of his future.

I already have the paint (Sherwin-Williams.) One of them rollers got your name on it. I'll even spring for some good eats from the soul food place around the corner. It's hot, it's brown, and there's plenty of it.

I was thinking about that yellow with metal flake stuff that they put stripes on the roads... it lasts for a long time and can be cleaned with a hose.

When are you going to come to Washington and visit me?

If I go to my dad's, I might come into DC, so you never know.

That would be majorly cool! How well do you know Washington? Have you seen all the standard tourist attractions and monuments and stuff? I used to give tours for the State Department, so I know all the "secret" details! LOL I live about two blocks from Walter Reed Army Hospital in the Takoma neighborhood of D.C. There's not much to do around here, but we can always go downtown or over to Georgetown or Dupont Circle and find lots of things to do. And, if you want to go rowing, one of my friends from the Navy Band is also the rowing coach for the adaptive team here. He goes out to Bethesda Naval Hospital once a week to work with some guys on rowing machines there at the hospital, and another day every week to take other guys down to the river who actually go out onto the water in boats, so, he understands all levels of injuries and recovery. I could take you to his boathouse and he'd love to show you the ropes. Besides rowing, I also have tons of friends who are very expert in sitting around drinking Scotch and smoking cigars ( ... )
