Once a Marine, always a Marine. That seems to be the feeling I see. I met one woman who even took a pay cut and demotion to switch from Air Force to the Marines. She said she knew she would always regret it if she never got a chance to be a Marine. (she had initially gone Air Force because her parents begged her not to go into the Marines when she first announced plans to go military. Then switched once her parents were acclimated to the idea)
