Has anyone used the Amazon Marketplace for selling their stuffs? I have a bunch of books I'd like to get rid of before moving and would rather try selling before donating them to the local library. For books, I have a feeling Amazon would be a better option than ebay. If you've used Amazon to sell your stuff how was the overall experience? It seems ( Read more... )

lostinjersey has been selling books on Amazon I think...drop him a line and talk to him about it. He may even be willing to buy your books or work with you for commission?

I've sold books on Amazon before. It depends on what books you sell. Older books tend to be worth less, while newer or rare books tend to be priced more.

Well, yeah. I kinda figured that much. I'm pretty familiar with how consumer reselling tends to work thanks to my job :) I was more wondering how the overall process worked. It doesn't seem to complicated. Does Amazon reimburse you for shipping at all? At this point I'm more looking to get rid of stuff and if I can make a buck or two, hey, why not.

I have a friend who used to sell all sorts of things on ebay, but used Amazon for books. I don't know all the details, but he said he much preferred to use their system.

I used to use half.com to sell stuff also, perhaps check them out too?
