(To make up for two extra grumpy posts in one day)
This table is in my kitchen. I don't have an obsession with candy canes, those are for the peppermint bark I make. :-)
I do really love penguins though! I found three of these while unpacking my Christmas stuff, the one on the right is the one Allen's mom gave me recently. Note the penguin cupcake ornament, penguin mug, and penguin cookie jar. We won't talk about the five penguin hand towels, the penguin soap dispenser, the penguin pillow, the multiple penguin socks, or the two other penguin mugs. Or the multiple penguin ornaments on my tree. Lol.
Back door into the laundry room. It jingles every time it's opened!
Multitude of Christmas mugs, there's about a dozen up there. Note that I'm the only one who enjoys hot beverages, lol.
Christmas pot holders on the wall, snowmen salt and pepper shakes, and Christmas towel!
Even Christmas ornaments in the bathroom! The Christmas hand towel wasn't up yet either, lol.
Living room! And Huey in his hoodie because he's darn cute. My great grandmother made the tree skirt. I've got a Christmas table cloth that belonged to Allen's grandma but there's a puzzle in the way right now.
The wreath Allen's mom made us, and the stockings I put our names onto.
Bookshelf by the tree with assorted cute things.
This is the snowman with penguin slippers Allen's mom gave me. The candle kind of blocks it, but the little Noel bear is something I've had since I was a little girl. It's always been one of my favorite Christmas things. It's a music box that plays The First Noel. She's holding a little holly wrapped package and has a poinsettia on her head like a bow too. I really should take a better picture of her on her own!
The Santa Allen's mom gave me a couple years ago, and the violin girl my mom gave me.
Some ornament closeups! Yes, that's a sparkly airplane. And a sparkly penguin.
Another airplane, an elf I've had since I was little, a crazy fabric ball thing on the right that my biological sister made and gave me.
Some of the felt ornaments I've made. The reindeer couple are some of my favorites!
I made the snowflake too. The dog in a stocking, the little Mrs. Claus at the top, and the pink doll are things I've had since I was little too. The red glass ball, the red, green and gold ball and the yellow one at the bottom are some vintage ones I've picked up at garage sales (and by vintage I mean not super old, just older than me probably?).
If Allen does come home this weekend and we do put lights up on the house, I'll post pictures of that too. These aren't from this year, but they're cute!
Huey modeling my Christmas apron that I love so much. I bought it on Etsy from Boojiboo. She's got a ton of styles and sizes (including plus size and kids), tons of fabric options, and her things are really well made.
Our house lit up from a couple years ago. Boy, those lights on the ridge line really emphasize the sag in the roof, lol.
