On Wednesday I left work a little early because I was recovering from being sick the day before. I thought I'd take a walk by the river but I was too tired to walk so I just sat on a bench, over where the ducks and geese congregate. I never see anything amazing when I have a camera! OR, on the RARE occasion when I do have it, I can't get the camera out of the case, turned on, de-lens capped, and focused in time. OR, I do all that, but just as I click - it leaves, stops doing the amazing thing or turns its back... and it's digital so ... nothing. I have a bunch of pictures that would have commentary like, "Seconds before I shot this photo of the ripples in the lake, a pair of loons were doing the never yet photographed 'midnight sun mating dance' in this very spot!"
But usually it is, "This is the top of Aidan's head, just after he smiled with a face adorably covered in icecream!" I keep threatening to make an album of "top of the head/turned back" photos with "journaling" under each...
