Fifth Night [Voice/Action]

[...Okay.  For a fact, those robots cannot be stopped.  Yet.   While standing guard and speaking with Detective Kiyone in the tunnels regarding the prisoners several days ago, the Malnosso's robotic abductors broke into the prison where Naoya and Dilandau were being held.  Batman and Kiyone put up a fight against the machines, but were ultimately ( Read more... )

[Bruce will be able to catch John at the very crack of dawn up and awake (likely before the others), preparing his own breakfast. Eggs and bacon. Delicious.]

[Unsurprised by this. He is a Marine, after all. He actually enters the kitchen with no fanfare or sneaking around. He is going straight for that coffee pot, though. It's been a long night. He needs to clear his head.

He gives John an acknowledging nod as he moves past, though.]

[John glances back at Batman. Ah, to see the Bat without being surprised by it. He gives him a brief look over.]

You're looking better.

Still no sign of Naoya or Dilandau. They're hiding well.

[Yeah, he's better. ...Also still pissed about what happened.]

[Since Batman is searching for people connected to Dilandau, it won't be too hard to find one of the obvious connections from his own world.

Folken is walking towards community building #7 with a few bags of groceries at the moment. Yeah, he's not exactly aware that Dilandau has escaped since he made efforts to ensure Dilandau would be required to get in touch with them via the journals.

Of course knowing Batman, he probably knows Naria and Folken moved to a new apartment the same day Dilandau admitted to murder.]

[Ah, there's one of the people connected to Dilandau... he had spoken to him once before, he believed. Well. Time to go to work. Surprise: A voice from behind and from above.]

Folken.

[If Folken is surprised, he sure isn't acting like it. He looks in the direction the voice seems to be coming from.]

Yes?

[And Batman jumps down from a tree into plain view.]

...We need to talk.

[Not long after Bats runs into John, Clark will be sitting down at the table with his own breakfast. He's got his journal set to the side, open, but with the voice optioned turned off, and is flipping through it at a fairly brisk rate.

The current pot of coffee is all his doing.]

[...It's good coffee. Not that Bats will admit to it.]

Starting in early as always.

[That's fine, he already knows it. Nobody makes better coffee than newspaper reporters, they need it to live.]

If I wasn't, you'd know something was wrong. [He gives Bruce a grin.] Of course, I could say the same of you. Just another part of our line of work.

[Batman nods at that. Though his voice turns back to serious business. Can't avoid it with this guy.]

Still no luck in finding them.

How much do you know about locksmithing?

Not too much, but I'm willing to read up on it. Why is it needed?

[...He really doesn't want to admit it. But he has to, if he wants to get what he wants.]

This information goes no further than you, understood? Certain individuals managed to pick the locks leading into the prison in the tunnels.

I need highly complex locks that are resistant to tampering, meant for doors, prison cells, and secure areas. They also need to be highly resistant to blunt force damage, such as being struck with a weapon or shot with a gun.

[Anyone connected to them you say? Does the one they killed count? Because if so, she can be found floating around the village all day~]

[Kohaku... the victim of everything. She needs to be informed. He'll wait until she's off alone someplace and then emerge into plain sight nearby. He's spooky looking, but he's not taking any aggressive actions and he's keeping his tone as diplomatic as the Batman can manage.]

Kohaku. We need to talk.

[The inky thing that Kohaku really notices about him is how creepy he looks, so she'll back away as soon as he comes near her.]

A-about what? And...how do you know my name?

[He's not going to approach any further. He's actually not trying to be scarier than he usually is.]

...You must be careful. The men who hurt you, Dilandau and Naoya? They are on the loose again. I don't know if they intend to do you harm again.
