Nothing to be ashamed about levoyeur12312 January 25 2005, 01:25:39 UTC
There is definitely nothing to be ashamed about being yourself. Everyone else be damned!!!
Comics allow us to dream and fantasize about things that we could never do ourselves. Isn't that why we run to the movies to see the latest fantasy story or to the bookstore to get the latest novel? Why should we be glued to news stories that tend to be depressing and usually don't affect us on a personal level?

I admit it. I'm a closeted Spiderman fan. Perhaps it has to do with my fascination with spiders or maybe because I wish I could be a superhero. Who doesn't want to stop being themselves for a day? Unfortunately, for me, I want to be somebody else most of the time which my therapist says is NOT healthy.

Maybe some others will write a comment and say what comics they like. That way, you won't feel alone.

Don't sweat it man. My brother and dad are both comic book geeks. I understand. Every year I get one of them a box of 100 random comics off of ebay and they fight over them like madmen. Simply being passionate about something is attractive in itself. I am not into comics (although I do love the Archie comics) but its good to know you're not just an empty body.
