I AGREE WHOLEHEARTEDLY!

I had a friend who, from the very beginning, said "it figures that the three with the most money-hungry parents are suing" ahaha (of course she had her head bitten off by the rabids) :x

do people honestly think that Yunho's father, a trial lawyer, would be stupid enough to not only make false statements

I think the general idea is that the statements are bogus, made up, etc, and that they weren't made by Yunho/Min's father or Homin.

Still not convinced that JaeSuChun's families need to be criticized for being unable to bear sons or for being divorced - if anything, the fact that their parents aren't lawyers/teachers would mean that when it comes to money, they can't afford to be swindled.

I don't think the argument should be that the contracts are fair because everyone else goes along with them - a good number of these kids are poor and believe this is their only way to fame. But, that said, we don't know the terms of the actual contract. The stuff I've seen posted seems dubious.

all I'm hearing from people is that SM is ~forcing~ them to do things, or that HoMin are ~betraying~ the others. I am pretty sure forgery is a crime, and for SME to falsify not only statements from HoMin, but statements from their parents, somehow...? and to presume that no one would come out and deny these statements, if they were false?
I think after investing in all these companies, buying houses in Seoul, etc, no one can really claim the boys' families aren't "well off" anymore. the statements allegedly from MinHo's parents just rang a lot more true, to me, than basically any of the accusations that have been slung around so far.

This is Kpop, forgeries and rumors becoming facts are common. SME could have twisted their arm into putting on paper what they might have believed, thereby trying to split the fandom. They might have put it on paper and asked for a signature (Yunho and Changmin have nothing to fall back on, not even shady cosmetic companies). Or, this could simply have nothing to do with SM, but since it supports their case, coming out and saying so would be a poor move.

I don't think your attitude to money (that you might not have had) changes because you suddenly have some. If there's a difference in social class between Yoochun and Yunho's parents, I'm not surprised that there would be a difference in their desire to get more, hoard more, profit as much as they can and so on.

whatever their attitude toward money or hoarding, I don't think it excuses making shady deals with a third party and then trying to hide it from the company they're signed to.
