and i'm mostly like thea in my idea about payment for dates etc. i don't mind if they pay for dinner or the like but i get kind of annoyed if it's ALL THE TIME. let me pay once in a while, geez. i'm not broke or dependent on you.
.. and god did half the comments about 'oh he so didn't mean it like that' on that post make me lol. a lot.

It's an interesting topic and I just read about what Eeteuk waid so... Hmmm..
The last compliments I've gotten?
1. You have a great ass - really, a great body.
2. You're the reason I'm excited to come home for Thanksgiving.
3. You know I'll make time to see you - you're worth it.
4. Miss ya too, beautiful.
And that's what I can think of so far. Do those count?
And as for paying for dinner - it depends. I usually let guys pay if they offer but pay myself if they don't say anything. Usually, though -- I find myself not paying for anything when I am out with my guy friends o____o;;;;
I have this mentality though that I should be pampered in all cases *princess*

I know girls here say they want equality whenever it's brought up, but whenever I say that I would let the girl pay or expect to split they all look at me like the worst sinner known to Earth. Men here are expected to have a superior income as well or else they are less manly for it. Same with paying for things. If you can't pay or if you don't do things for girls your rep gets dragged through the ground by girls/your own male friends.
I open the door for both men and girl alike. It's just how I am and I know a couple of foreigner guys who usually open the door for me too. I don't know. I don't think I'm telling anyone they can't, but if I'm by the door first and can hold it open, why not? I think it's the polite thing to do.
