This was such a good conversation last night, haha.

I think Henry is young enough that he can afford to take a few years to hone further. Yes, he's been training for 3 years already but he needs more world experience. The other members (maybe aside from Kyu) have to keep up. They can't afford to take time off right now.

I don't know what more to say. You've pretty much summed up our entire conversation far better than I could.

I don't want to point fingers (especially not in this fandom, anymore), but I really think that the fans who absolutely insisted on Suju staying together as one group and not be rotated stifled them. When they were being considered for rotation, it was really the perfect timing for some of the members to get spun out on their own - when Suju was seen as the Next Big Thing and before everything negative happened. Now, I think they've sort of been cossetted with each other too long, both in public opinion as well as amongst themselves, so it's hard to do something new.

But overall, I think I'm more optimistic about their individual success in the industry than you. I think some of the dark horses of the group will surprise us with their longevity (read: stubbornness, lol).

On the other hand, it might be better for some of them to just fade out and go do their own thing, live their own lives. Beyond just a "they had their 15 minutes of fame" sort of thing, they have achieved a lot, and this period of their lives is something huge that ( ... )

Pretty much agree with everything you've said here, I can basically see each of them just the way you described post-SuJu. Sungmin really hit the nail on the head. I hope that boy finds himself, because while he's just 'somewhere in the middle' in SuJu, he's talented enough to make it on his own, if he finds something he's truly good at and sticks to it.

And about Kyuhyun: technically speaking, his voice is just flawless, but he needs a little more emotional depth before he can really be a ballad superstar. OH GOD THIS. I've been saying this for ages, how Kyu's voice is so basically perfect, but the reason why I prefer Yesung's and Ryeowook's voices is because Kyuhyun can be just... flat. Emotionless. Passionless. And all I get are indignant looks from his fans. ;___; There's no denying his talent, but perhaps it's just like you said - lack of life experiences that makes him like this. Once he overcomes this barrier, he could easily be a top singer ( ... )

I with almost all of your points here. But this strikes me more than any of them (cause of my bias lol):

in the depths of my OTP-loving heart, I have this hope that part of the reason Hangeng did this lawsuit was to let Siwon (and the others) get something moving on his own career.

I don't know if i was just deluding myself when i started thinking this as well but i just know that Geng isn't an asshole pretending to be nice. Nor are any of them for that matter ( ... )

I don't have much to say, but I agree with you on pretty much everything. I personally cannot forgive Kangin for drunk driving and will not support him any more. It's sad to see these two groups ending this way, but I hope they can all go on to lead happy lives doing what they enjoy.
