Someone I like and respect rather much has, much to my relief, survived the EndOfTheWorld in a now-drowned city which I shared all too briefly with someone even more important to me. Those parts of the city I know best are the most likely ones to survive, since they're the old parts, built before many of the levies which have failed the city so
