Update! Update! I can't believe it's an update!

Ok, so hello there. I know I haven't posted in a while. Sorry. Lot's of exciting things happened!

First, my family went on its first vacation in four years, and they decided on the Grand Canyon. I know I should have posted while this was fresh, because all these memories are stale, so I don't know how detailed I can be. Basically, people talk about the Grand Canyon, and you see photos, but nothing will prepare you for how big it really is. It's literally 2 miles across, and a mile deep, but its not just one big slope with a flat bottom in it. Oh no sir. There are mountains in the canyon. MOUTAINS. That's how big it is. You look down, and you see the top of a small mountain a mile away. It's a weird feeling. My family decided they wanted to hike down to the three mile point on one of the trails (Burning Angel I think? Blazing Angel?) So we started hiking. We had been warned about the dangers of the trail. How it got hot, and was hard, and how so many people had died. There are even warning signs after the 3 mile point that say "you should head back. you don't have to do this." We each had 3 liters of water, and some trail food like beef jerky and trail mix (cajun style!). There are rest stations every 1.5 miles. Long story short, the rest station at 1.5 is so small we didn't even realize we passed it (they call it a lodge, so we expected a cabin or something) Long story short, We thought the 3 mile station was actually the 1.5 mile station until we saw the sign. We realized we had just reached our goal at only 10 in the morning, so we said fuck it, lets go to the first bottom (the first plateu, not the level the colorodo river is on). The plateu is gorgious. It's like an awasis, with a small brook, and tons of shady trees. We ended up hiking out to the 6 mile point which overlooks the colorodo (lots and lots of feet down, 100 yards mabe?) And then hiked back up. So yes, we hiked 12 miles that day. It was 7 by the time we got up clocking in at 10 hours. Needless to say, we all passed out when we got back to our hotel. I could hardly walk the next day. I exasurbated an old taekwondo knee injury, and almost fell a couple of times. My crazy siblings hiked another 6 miles the next day though. Crazy siblings...

Also, I ended up eating rattlesnake. It tastes like chicken, but its like eating rubber. Really hard to chew.

Then we went to Vegas. I won $5. I know, awsome end to this story, right?

Well its NOT the end! Oh no sir!

Because then my mom asked me to help my brother move to Florida for his new job.

And I said YES.

So we road tripped it down to Florida in two days. 16 hours to North Carolina to stay with my cousin and her husband, and then another 13 hours to my new Aunt's house. (New Aunt you say? How can you have a new aunt? Well, I'll tell you. She is a long lost aunt like out of a story. Giving up for adoption due to out of wedlockness, she was adopted by pirates and sailed the seven seas robbing and pillaging, only to one day find a map that led her back to us. Ok, maybe the pirate thing didn't happen, but we were only just recently reuinited with her, to everyone's delight.) Anywho, me and my brother went apartment hunting in Naples and Fort Something (Lauderdale, Mires? I can't remember). Turns out Florida is a kooky place with crazy animals roaming all over the fucking place. The turkey ducks! Oh the horror, the horror! Also, everyone it seems, lives on a golf course. At least in Naples. I'm not kidding. The majority of places we looked at were condos which were part of communities centered around a golf course. We ended up finding an apartment for Andrew that only pretends to be a gated community (there's no gate, and no golf course, but it still looks like there should be). I also got to eat aligator jerky. It was DELICIOUS.

And now I'm here, and its so cold. Boo. I've got to get used to the weather here again.
