Mm, I like this. I'm not a huge fan of Sarah, but she's pretty cool in this. She's not a total badass (which would be extremely unrealistic) just trying to make sense of this weird thing thrown on her shoulders. Nice. ♥

I wasn't really a huge fan of Sarah either, but the prompt I got was intriguing and enjoyed exploring her in this fic.

Thanks for reading. I'm glad you liked. ♥

WORTH EVERY SECOND OF THE WAIT. EVERY ONE. <33333333

Where to start?

You know how much I love badass hunting chicks and looking over my reading notes, it's what I was getting geared up for, but in terms of the story it tells about Sarah, this was so much better. She does something with her experiences, but it takes a long, slow build and that it's this
It’s the obvious grief that finally gets her, speaks to a similar ache in her own chest. She knows what it’s like to lose someone suddenly, but at least she was able to know the reason behind it.that pushes her into action. The motivation is so personal and strikes so true to the character in a way that has nothing to do with you or I wanting to talk her up and that's what really sells it. I also really love that she's not perfect or even especially good, at the hunting part. She panics and freezes and nearly gets killed; it's Jo that saves the day. It's really okay not to be awesome at something on the second go and even though Jo feels like she failed to protect Sarah, who is a ( ... )

Oh, wow. Thank you for such a fantastic, thoughtful reply.

I really enjoyed having the chance to root through Sarah's mind in this. She's not a character I've given much thought to, so it took me awhile to figure out what her motivations might be. So I'm really glad it works for you.

Dean's booty call comment is actually one of the first things I wrote. *g* It just seemed like exactly the kind of thing he would say if Sarah ever did call.

I am so, so glad Jo worked for you. There were a lot of things I wanted to say about her- her motivations for hunting, her complicated relationship to the Winchesters (especially Dean), her issues with civilians/amateurs hunting even though she might be considered one. There are a lot of contradictions in her character (or at least my interpretation of her), and I'm ecstatic that those came through.

They both get to show up, save the day, and kiss the pretty girl

That line- that whole scene actually- was one of the last things I wrote. I needed a way to sum up the whole experience.

Ah, this is ( ... )

Wow, this was great! I didn't care much for Sara in the show itself, but you really sold her for me here. Wonderful characterization of Jo, too. ♥

Thanks for sharing! :)

I really like how there's no resolution for Sarah's uncertainty, Jo's uncertainty. Very nicely done.

Thanks so much! And, yeah, I am somewhat allergic to resolution. *g*
