Tell Cozi to stop being so stubborn! Lot's of people who want to live in LA but can't comfortably afford it move to Long Beach. It's almost like an extension of LA. Why does he want to pay the huge price to live in LA when you don't even work there? He can just as easily pursue his dream living next door to LA in Long Beach. When the market comes down enough in LA, you could always move back! That's the one big plus to renting--no commitment.

You have to remember you're the wife in the relationship--keep nagging and eventually you'll get your way! :)

Perhaps someday we can move beyond stereotypes.

I looked over a few of your posts and I noticed a pattern. Maybe you have, too:

"I'm not happy in LA. I'll be happy when I get a job."
"Got a job. Not happy."
"Got fired. I'll be happy again when I get a job."
"Got a job. Not happy."
"When I move and get a new apartment and a garage, then I'll be happy."
Prediction:
"Moved to Long Beach, the ocean is pretty, like the garage. Not happy."

When we're not happy, the first thing we think is that something material can fill that emptiness. Jobs, moving, having stuff isn't going to make you happy.

A good place to start is to make a list. What non-material things DO make you happy? Does sitting in a coffee shop watching people pass make you happy? Does reading a book by candle light make you happy? Walks with Cozi? Spending time playing with dogs? Laughing with a friend?

Once you have a solid list, try incorporting more time doing those things. Unplug yourself from the world- TV, computers, cell phones- and spend time doing each little thing that makes you happy. Then reevaluate how you

I stumbled onto your site. You seem to be more sad than happy. Maybe you should start concentrating on being content rather than trying to be happy. Happiness is a fleeting thing pretty much based on circumstances. Contentment is a feeling that's there, no matter the circumstance. And you can't depend on anyone else to make you content.
