sorry i am totally going to side with the guy who yelled at you... yelling "fore" is a huge thing in golf...i can understand why the guy was pissed, i have been hit before. and it hurts like hell! i have been golfing since i was 5 and they always enforce that rule. so dont be pissed at the guy, if he golfs their regularly he could complain about it, and it isnt something small...besides possibly hitting a person, it then disrupts their game, typically they are ok about it, but if you dont yell it then they have no forwarning...also if they were older men, most of the time they dont think kids/teenagers should be on the course b/c they dont know all the rules... so those are why he was probably pissed, but you cant be pissed at him, you need to be aware of those important rules if your playing.
