Happy Birthday, Haylie!!!
Two years ago at this very moment, I was in surgery, within 10 minutes of delivering Haylie. I was completely knocked out, so I didn’t hear her first cry or get to touch her or ask questions or anything. But none of that matters now. For those of you who aren’t on my FB, Emma Cheyenne Scott was born at home in the water on May 22nd, at 8:28 AM. She weighed in a 8 pounds, 1 ounce, and measured 20.5 inches long with a 14 inch head. I have finally discovered the wonderful world of grocery delivery. I’ve known that our local Hy-Vee grocery store delivered since before we moved to Kansas City, but I never utilized the service until yesterday. Devastating
Three days after the fact, I found out today that the shooting that took place in an Oregon mall was actually in a mall that I frequented as a teenager, and even younger. Recipe
Our oven isn’t working, so I’ve been on the hunt for yummy, easy 30 minute skillet meals. Tonight’s was smothered pork chops and potatoes. I tweaked it a little, but it turned out great. I didn’t have any bacon or green onions, so I omitted them. In lieu of the bacon fat, I used vegetable oil to cook the chops. I also didn’t have any whipping cream ( Read more... )
