I've had so many strikes against mine that I've lost count. :) I fucking hate You Tube. I swear they have a little Nazi sitting in an office somewhere whose sole responsibility it is put strikes against vids made my unsuspecting subscribers.

You had to watch a video and answer questions before you were able to get back on? Holy Shit! Now I know You Tube is nuts. When I got a copyright infringement, I found out how to get around it, but I'll be damned if I can remember. I remember doing a google search, and funnily enough it was a you tube video whichh showed me how to do it. ;)

I doubt it was that little twit who got you in trouble; I think it was just a coincidence. As a suggestion, the next time someone acts up on your channel, delete them. In fact, say that in your video description: "this vid is for those who appreciate it, blah blah blah, and it's not to invite debate. Those who want to bitch are going to get turfed."

Then delete them. Period. Their opinions are of no consequence.

Hey, hon'..

Do you really have that many strikes? I read 'three strikes and you're out'..that sorta thing..and you got around it? You don't remember how, though, huh?

I saw some YT vids about it..but I didn't really get that involved in looking through them. One of the first was basically saying don't get another strike for 6 months and the strike you got will be removed. Lotta help there. ;)

I've been thinking of options..which would be to have my vids put HERE through another source..maybe make a separate journal just for them. I'd lose my YT audience..but..whataya gonna do?

..and you're right. In the future, I'm just gonna keep my mouth shut and not let random commenters "egg" me on. Ain't worth it..whether she was "involved" or not.

Thanks, hon'. x

pretty sure it was this vid:

Least so far as the process went. Works like a charm.

I meant to add that you'll enjoy the vid's theme music. ;)

Honestly....as much as I understand that you make your own videos with pictures of John and some music in the background, I don't see the use of uploading videos you can buy. Sure...sharing is caring and I am someone who loves downloading videos/books/albums etc. But I would never watch those videos on YouTube anyway as the quality comes out shitty.
So you better avoid uploading whole videos for some time now and go back to upload your own videos again...after a while it might be safe again. So you do not need to edit out the bitch because she won't be in your self-made videos anyway.

As for unwanted comments: delete them and block these idiots without replying to them. There aren't worse the fight. But I do not think it was this twit who reported you...just like Karen said: coincidence.

Astrid, I have been uploading videos of the boys for quite some time. I haven't been exclusively doing original edits for at least a year. The original edits are very time-consuming and I was only uploading one video a month, in most cases. I changed that to give myself more time to do original edits and to have more variety on my channel..so after about a year or so, I elected to "mix it up" and post other things, as well..such as interviews, press conferences, newsreels, tv performances and documentaries. I've never, ever had a "strike" all during that time..and incidentally, even my original edits can be flagged by EMI due to the music ( ... )

I'm just now seeing this, I hate that that happened to you, and hope you can indeed keep your channel! I too have noticed there are so many full-length movies on there, and then others are not allowed to even post snippets! And the juvenile, immature commenters...don't even get me started! There are a few who seem to be able to have an interesting discussion, but those seem to be few and far, mostly it's people commenting on music they don't even like (then why are they even looking up videos by musicians they don't like)? I hope you're able to keep making your movies, Jo.

Hi, hon'..

How have you been?? :) *HUGE HUGSSS* Haven't seen you around in some time. Hope all is well.

Thank you for your comments, luv. Yeah..you see so much that people get away with on YT..and here I just want to provide a bit of variety and some joy for others and you either get the "nasties" coming along and ruining it for you and/or YT has to spoil all the fun with their copyright infringement bullshit. No fair. :( Right now I can't post anything, anyway, until my computer is fixed. (Can't use my video editor in "safe mode")..tsk.

Anyway..hope you're okay, dear. Don't be a stranger, yeah? ;)

You're just a sweet, hon'. ;) ♥

I hope your project goes well and I hope you and your daughter are doing good. Thank you regarding my computer. I'll be giving it to the IT guy at work Friday, so I'll be without it for the weekend. I can't even remember when that's ever happened! LOL!

You take care, sweetie, and I hope to see more of you around. :)
